Individual Therapy
Our integration of best practices blend together talk therapy with spiritual exploration, trauma re-processing, and 'off-the-mat' yoga to cultivate healing where your mind, body, and spirit come together. With our use of these skills, we incorporate mindfulness, guided meditation, breathing practices, and somatic processing of emotional and physical sensations inside of the body, increasing self-awareness and reflective skills far beyond just the physical practices 'on-the-mat' you may picture when you think of yoga. We collaboratively create individualized treatment plans with you, utilizing the most appropriate techniques and tools tailored to meet your specific needs, goals, and focus in therapy. Our overarching goal for all who work with us is to support development of a deep, strong connection to your whole Self including mind, body, and spirit.
There's no right or wrong reason to seek therapy. We all face difficulties in life, and our experiences are deeply personal to us. We commonly address depression, anxiety, stress, life transitions, self-esteem, self-care, relationship conflict, and work/home life balance. We understand the overwhelming nature of loneliness, sadness, grief, anger, irritability, anxiousness, perfectionism, low energy, limited motivation, social isolation, identity issues, or even just general dissatisfaction in life. What you’re feeling is valid, and we want to help.
Did you know that yoga poses are only 1/8 of yoga practice? We incorporate “off-the-mat” yoga into our individualized treatment plans, though we can include physical aspects should they fit into your unique plan and goals. This means integrating techniques of meditation, mindfulness, breathing techniques, self-awareness, and/or spirituality. We tailor our therapeutic process to your unique needs, focusing on building a strong connection to Self and providing personalized care.
Understanding where emotions, memories, and even triggers are showing up in your body plays an important role in sustainable healing beyond just our therapy sessions. In many cases, we've lost communication between our mind and body and need guidance to remember how to hear our inner wants and needs, mentally and physically. We work together to restore this messaging system inside of yourself to enhance your long term holistic health.
Our practice is non-denominational but instead based on the principles of individualized spirituality. All are welcome here. Regardless of religious background or beliefs (or lack thereof), our holistic approach works to improve your relationship with your higher Self, which often becomes a deeply spiritual experience.
Not looking to incorporate spirituality into your therapeutic goals? No problem. Your individual beliefs are respected, and we’ll focus on what matters most to you.
Along with traditional talk therapy aspects, we incorporate yoga, spirituality, trauma-informed care and somatic processing into a unique holistic approach. We work together to determine which tools will serve you best and help you learn how to utilize these skills in real life to continue your own healing journey beyond our therapeutic time together.
Call or email to schedule your initial free consultation where we'll walk you through what to expect and how we will tailor our approach to your specific goals. You don't even have to know what holistic entails, that's our job. And we'll be with you every step of the way.
Healthline defines "holistic therapy" as an approach that aims to treat the whole person (mind, body, and spirit) at once rather than just the symptoms of a disease or condition. While traditional talk therapy is part of the treatment in this approach, we integrate mental, social, physical, and spiritual factors in our journey toward health and healing.
Judi Ross Holistic Therapy is currently a virtual telehealth service. Once establishing care, you will have access to a Client Portal that offers scheduling, messaging, and the meeting room for telehealth sessions.
When we think of yoga, many of us think of practicing poses for physical health. However, did you know that these poses only make up 1/8 of a traditional yoga practice? Yoga is also breathing techniques, meditation, self-awareness, mindfulness, spiritual deepening, and reflection. We will not force any particular practice or method on a client. We collaborate to develop your individualized treatment plan and incorporate yoga should we agree that it makes sense for your journey.
