Individual Psychotherapy

For the client looking for effective and compassionate support making transformational positive changes in their life.

Common issues for clients coming in for therapy include addressing depression, anxiety, stress, life-stage transitions, self-esteem, self-care, and work/home life balance. Clients typically experience multiple symptoms including but not limited to loneliness, sadness, grief, anger, irritability, anxiousness, perfectionism, low energy, frequent fatigue, low motivation, isolation, relationship conflicts, identity issues, and/or a general dissatisfaction in life.

Frequent goals for clients include improving mood and daily functioning, improving relationships with loved ones through more effective communication and conflict resolution skills, rebuilding self-esteem and healing relationship to Self, repairing unhelpful belief systems and past traumas, and implementing sustainable self-care practices to maintain a more balanced, fulfilling lifestyle of health and wellness.

Using an integrative and holistic approach to therapy, Judi tailors treatment to an individuals’ specific preferences while using her expertise to know what may be most helpful to address to create the lasting changes each client seeks. No one therapy session is the same as there is no one-size-fits-all solution. Therefore you can expect a personalized, connected experience addressing exactly what you want and need individually for therapy to be supportive and effective.

Our meetings will start with a 60-75 minute initial session exploring your history of mental, physical, and relational health as well as collaborative treatment planning clarifying yours goals and desired results from therapy.  After that, 50-55 minute follow-up sessions provide you learning, exploration, prompted self reflection, skill-building, and planned application with intention to create the sustainable, positive changes you’re seeking.

JRHT is now offering virtual sessions as needed.  Whether you’re on vacation, unable to get away from the office, or stuck at home from inclement weather, rest assured you can still fit in your therapy session with Judi remotely.

Group Yoga Psychotherapy Workshops

Experience a unique integration of beginning yoga practices with psychotherapeutic prompts in these supportive groups.

Different than yoga studios and fitness centers, yoga psychotherapy groups offer supportive processing time verbally at the beginning and end, helping to build community, safety, and familiarity with other participants and the practice itself. This support group environment also facilitates exploration on different themes, taking yoga ‘off the mat’ into daily life as healthy coping skills as well.

Group members experience meditation, mindfulness, breath work, physical poses, guided relaxation, and gratitude building with rhetorical mental health techniques sprinkled throughout the slow, reflective practice. Recommended homework includes daily integration of skills learned in class to help facilitate a healing home practice of beginning yoga and mindfulness techniques.

Individual Yoga Psychotherapy

Enjoy your own one-on-one yoga psychotherapy experience integrating mindfulness, meditation, breathing exercises, yoga poses and philosophy with psychotherapeutic guidance and processing.  As a combination of the previous two services, individual yoga psychotherapy sessions are tailored to your specific needs physically, emotionally, and therapeutically.

After completing an initial 60-75 minute intake to cover full mental and physical health history, follow up 50-55 minute sessions include the same techniques as the group setting with practices individualized to your preferences and goals.  Verbal reflections, body sensations, and somatic experiencing are processed in session for integrative mind-body well-being.

Individual yoga psychotherapy sessions will address your specific mental health symptoms, trauma issues, or desired focuses.  It can also accommodate basic medical conditions including chronic pain, knee and joint sensitivities, etc. Contact Judi directly to discuss this unique effective experience tailored to your needs!
